The bitch judge this day was Ingela Kyrklund

From left to right, and placed 1st to 5th, they are:
Hjortronblommans Gin Kelly (later the weekend's back-to-back BIS-winner)
Ch Airescot Royal Occasion
Ch Play A While Amber Ale
Ch Balzac Moster Gudrun
Dumbriton Neverending Love

UPDATE 3 August 2001

Since last update Ocki has had her lovely litter by Jason, and the puppies
have been shown on this website under Whippets/breeding.

After almost seven months of maternal leave Ocki is now back in the show rings
and had a wonderful comeback at the Skokloster/Tammsvik weekend.
In the huge entry of 89 bitches at the Whippet Club breed specialty
Ingela Kyrklund placed Ocki second, only beaten by the eventual BIS-winner.
On day two, when the bitches were judged by Roger Stock,
Ocki was placed fourth of the 86 entered bitches.

Hopefully we'll have pictures in due course.

UPDATE 25 MARCH 2001

In February 2001 she was mated to Jason, Ch Statuesque Extortion.
She is definitely in whelp, and the litter is expected at Easter time.

UPDATE JANUARY 10th 2001

On January 7th Ocki won her ninth and qualifying CC, so now has her Swedish title,
only a few weeks after reaching the eligible age and on her first time out in Open class.
She ended her fabulous year in youth class as Whippet Debutante 2000
and was also Sweden's second best bitch and third best whippet of the year.

************

Below is recorded Ocki's show career
from the beginning to the end of the year 2000.

At the age of 12 months Ocki started her official show career
at the Gothenburg Dog Festival in January 2000
with winning an appreciated CK at her first show,
being placed 4th best bitch at her second show
and then, at her third show,
winning the bitch CC, BOB and Group II !!

All the way through Ocki was handled by Elisabeth Levén.

Tired but very curious of the camera flashes in the big ring

The above photo was taken in September when Ocki was 21 months old
- and quite a bit more mature! By then she had won 6 CC's in Sweden,
and once again won BOB over Jason, this time in September at SKK Int Ch, Sofiero,
judged by Gilberto Grandi. She was also placed 3rd in the Sighthound group,
judged by Ludmilla Fintorova, Slovenia.

The following day Ludmilla Fintorova chose to make her BOS
at a Sighthound Club show, where Gilberto Grandi later made her BIS Youngster.
By October 2000 Ocki is in the lead not only for this year's top winning Debutante Whippet, but also for Sweden's top winning Whippet bitch.

After the successful September weekend in the south of Sweden
we went on by car to take the ferry from Calais to Dover,
where Jason and Ocki were the very first Whippets to enter UK on Pet Passports.

A documentation of this historical event is the below picture,
where they are posing in front of a truly British Rolls Royce!

To win both Reserve CC's at Darlington Championship Show
made this first visit in England with our own dogs extra memorable.

UPDATE 27 November 2000

November 19th Ocki won BOB
at the Swedish Sighthound Club Western Dpt. show in Gothenburg,
where Franz De Ridder, Belgium judged the breed.
Later in the day she went on to win Best in Show, judged by Marianne Fürst-Danielson.
This was a very special win, as it was, according to the judge herself,
her very last such assignment after 45 years of worldwide judging.
Two pictures below.
