FAIREWOOD FELICITATIONS

"Briar"

(Am Ch Teutonia's Viktor x Am Ch Long Valley Fairewood Cheers)

Colour: Red                    Born:  9 November, 1997

Breeder: Lotus Tutton, Canada

Since "Briar" joined us, order has been restored among the Airescots. When docking was no longer allowed in Sweden and Norway, we gave up this breed, but in the long run we couldn't be happy without this little terrier, always so full of fun and everyone's friend.

I  found "Briar" through Am Ch Fairewood Frolic, America's Dog of the Year 1997, a   lovely bitch, which I have even had the opportunity to judge. When I found out how her dam, Ch Long Valley Fairewood Cheers, was bred, I knew where I should try to find my new Norwich Terrier.  Believe it or not, the great grandmother of Cheers is Ch Airescot Katisha (Int Am Ch Airescot Mack the Knife ex. Ch Airescot Tosca), and Cheers' great grandfather is GB Ch Thrumptons Penny Red, the dog we once imported from England! Through John Reeve-Newson, who happens to be Lotus Tutton's vet. in Canada, I heard that Frolic had a nice, red half sister, Fairewood Felicitations...

Anyone can imagine how happy I was to become the owner of "Briar", who joined us by the end of July 1999 after having spent six months in the best possible private quarantine with Marja and Kari Salminen and their Norwich- and Norfolk Terriers in Finland.

UPDATE JANUARY 10th 2001

January 6th Briar won BOB and her qualifying CACIB at the Swedish KC Int. show
in Gothenburg, judged by Moniqe van Bremt, Belgia, who gave her the following critique:

"Outstanding bitch in super condition. I enjoy very much to judge her outstanding head in all its forms. Compact body. Well balanced. Outstanding topline and tailset. Excellent angulations, coat and presentation. She is an eycatcher! Congratulations!"

To celebrate this nice win Briar immediately came in season,
so we now hope that she will have a litter by the end of March.
